| | I haven't used Xanga in a long time. A couple years ago I became disillusioned by MySpace, but now, MySpace is getting kinda old... somewhat repetitive, so I think I'm just going to go back to the symptom that got me into blogging in the first place. I'm a traitor to the MySpace organization. Ha!
The Super Bowl was pretty interesting yesterday. It was all in all a good game. We had the Chicago Bears, being in their first Super Bowl in 20 years, with a Kick Returner who has been known to break through blocks and score without being touched and a hot head quarterback with something to prove. The Colts also hadn't been in over 20 years, with a defense that has a hell of a time defending against the run and a quarterback who needs a Super Bowl to have his Hall Of Fame worthy career enshrined in Canton. The Colts won 29-17.
I was rooting for the Bears, but the Colts played hard, so you have to respect that. Turnovers played a huge factor, the Bears having 5 and the Colts having 4. They were playing in Miami, and it was raining hard for the entire duration of the game. Makes for an exciting evening of football, I think.
Watching this game kind of made me think about the human desire to win. Both teams pushed their bodies to the limit (sometimes even beyond) and made huge plays. Frustrated by turnovers and the weather, you could tell by the middle of the 3rd quarter that every player in Miami were simply exhausted. Cedric Benson was hurt at the end of the first quarter, throwing out Chicago's heavily successful double tailback strikes. Chicago just never recovered.
But all in all, a fabulous game. Peyton Manning got the ring (and the MVP), so the way I look at it, his bust in Canton is pretty much assured. Good for him.
